Working My Way Out of a Tweet Length World

I tweet a lot. 140 characters to say something profound. Easy. And a great way to avoid a coherent, grounded manifestation. This is what I just realized as I sat down to write a blog entry entitled, “Compassion Over Competition: Practicing Yoga with Love & Light”. I have all the pieces that would be great as tweets, but are much harder to flow into a finished puzzle.

I like to flow. Perhaps so much so that I tend to freak out when things happen that don’t feel like flow. Like yesterday when my connecting train never came so I had to not just walk, but get confused, and walk a avenue block out of my way in the sweltering heat to reach my destination late. Oh my.

But what is late and out of the way anyways? One of my favorite sayings is “time is always on time”. Throughout the–what felt like–epic journey of walking out of my way through the heat, I breathed myself into enjoying the new route. I brought the flow back. Just like I’ve done with this blog entry. For now, I’ve scraped the other idea that felt like a struggle, and was inspired by my tweet:

Writing a full blog entry is much harder than a tweet. What do you all think of a tweet length world versus a blog length world. And what about books?

It is hard for me to sit down and read more than a few pages in a book at a time. I can’t imagine writing one! I know it’s all about the inspiration and allowing the flow, so “Compassion Over Competition: Practicing Yoga with Love & Light” is on hold until something shifts. I’m sure it’s something to do with attachment, and the very topic I want to write about. Creativity is funny!
