DO NOT [energetically] PICK UP TAR BALLS. Choose Light & Love for Change.

Yes, the oil spill is our society’s environmentally unaware lifestyle bubbling to the surface to be acknowledged. It is of upmost importance that we do not get stuck in empathy or attach to fear in this situation. Energetically, it is like picking up sticky tar balls, paralyzing us with fear and making the situation an even bigger mess. When we stop holding trauma in our space, we create room in the world for right action, healing and compassion to occur.

Marianne Williamson notes “You know how that oil is spilling from the bottom floor? — that’s the way LOVE should be spilling from our HEARTS! If the latter WERE happening, the former WOULDN’T be happening. That’s our challenge as a species.”

To move my heart in gear, I’ve created a guided visualization to gain neutrality to the crisis. This allows new light to shine with love and compassion while sending a message to the universe that some of us are aware of the bigger picture.

Close your eyes, placing your hand on your heart.

Breathe in. Exhale with a sighing ahhh, bringing your awareness from your head to your heart. Repeat a few times.

Imagine a hollow and strong grounding cord made of solid gold or diamond or crystal connected–effortlessly through time and space–from the base of your spine to the center of the earth. Flip a vacuum switch, setting your body & surrounding space to release.

See your body centered in a golden ball of light, raising your vibration to non-attachment and light healing.

Collect your awareness in your 6th chakra by imagining a magnetic white light in the center of your head which beams out in front of you like a spotlight.

In the spotlight create and see a transparent bubble. See a rose between you and the bubble signifying that no energy needs to release through your body.

Give the bubble a grounding cord of its own, connected firmly into the center of the earth.

Inside the bubble begin to see the energy of the oil spill, and watch as any fear, doubt, worry, anxiety begin to drain out the grounding cord.

Flip a switch on the grounding cord of the bubble that sets it to infinite, no time, no space, postulating that it’s strength is more powerful than the mass of the oil.

Above the bubble, create a connection with a waterfall of pure divine white light which streams throughout, replacing what is being released with compassion, wisdom and healing.

Watch, and breathe as stuck energy is released and replenished with a flow of purity.

Next, say hello to the Earth energy in the bubble in front of you. Move beyond any sticky or dark layers, reaching a fresh and vibrant one, knowing that the power and harmony of the Earth is alive, ready and willing. Infuse the bubble with this color, washing it out even more.

Now say hello to all of the compassionate spirits, sea creatures and humans–including you and all those who work for BP– taking action and helping to clean up the spill. See them as filled with light and love. Send them spiritual hellos of compassion and gratitude. Know that they are personally empowered and capable to create change and healing.

Check in with the light connection above, seeing the bubble being continuously filled with new energy. Postulate that this will continue to happen for as long as necessary.

Now see the bubble as a color that holds a healing vibration, and watch as everything inside of it is infused with the color. See the bubble start to grow and fill the room you’re sitting in with that color. See the building you’re in fill with that color. See the city, state, country you’re in fill with that color. See the region where the oil spill is fill with the color. See the world fill with that color, ultimately releasing the healing wish to the universal powers that be.
