Just when I claimed I was done reading books, comes a reading list for the yoga training I’m doing in July, and a recommendations from Tori.
Looks like I’m living my own tweets: “Ever say never only to find that is exactly when?”, “Give an ultimatum, and you’ll receive the opposite.”, “Letting yourself have one side of a decision often times opens you up to realize it’s the other side you actually want.”
I’ve always been the student who resists reading as an assignment (or anything that’s not inspired!). This will be interesting to see how directly my decision to be a student matches my inspiration.
So, here’s the books on the list with some commentary:
Light on Yoga (Iyengar)–excited to read more about yoga from an historic yogi!
Still Here (Ram Dass)
In Defense of Food (Michael Pollan)–Started reading it a couple of years ago, and really really understand, so I stopped.
Love Freedom and Aloneness (Osho)–have read Sex Matters by Osho before, which was awesome. This guy is spiritual and blunt and I love it!
The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success (Deepak Chopra)–never read a book by Deepak, but looking forward to it b/c I know he has good stuff to say.
And Tori’s recommendation:
Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians – always curious about the Pleiadians!
So, I’ll keep ya posted with my process & reviews.
Summer Reading List: Studious Self Here I come!
