Worlds Inside of Worlds

the sky is falling
the sky is falling
its a beautiful day
waves crash
somebody laughs
anxiety breathes
fear reseeds
icicles trickle
and freeze
spring buds
sleep is fun
naps are for babies
breezy, queasy, sneezy
over-easy
cold again
its too hot
drinks will refresh
everything’s such a mess
luck languishes
premonitions perish

and you wish

and you want
and you wait

for

another world

there are so many worlds
and they’re all inside your head
